Prat de Cabanes
Declared nature reserve, it constitutes a humid zone that lodges an important ecosystem.
Prat de Cabanes-Torreblanca is a narrow earth zone of salt marshes and marshes formed by quaternary deposits.
East natural space, of approximately 9 km long, is placed in the coastal flatness that spreads between the municipal terms of Torreblanca and Orpesa, and Santes is limited by Serra de Irta and the Serra of them.
The scenery typical of this ancient lagoon is the proper one of a coastal humid zone, separated from the sea for a drawstring of gravels and singings roados with some areas of sandy beach. The least saline areas are colonized by reedbeds.
Of between the birds nidificantes it is possible to quote to the canastera, ashen eaglet, carricerín really, colored duck and mallard. Between the fish the farlet and the samaruc stand out, endemic both.
